On Friday, March 30^th, a solidarity rally with the sons' families was held on Mitzpe Hilla, near Gilad Schalit's home. Over 1,500 people participated in the rally that was scheduled 3 days before the eve of the Passover holiday – the holiday which represents freedom.

Before the rally, children made kites and a few parachutes with the slogan "Thy children come again to their own border" were flown in the sky, near the northern border.

The families of the sons participated, the Israeli Minister of Agriculture- Mr. Shalom Simhon and famous artists such as Mikha Shitrit, Eti Ankri and Sarit Vino-Elad. The band "Paradox" appeared with its special song "Gilad" dedicated to the kidnapped soldier Gilad Schalit.

On the morning of the rally, the new Commander in Chief of the IDF, Lieutenant General Gabi Ashkenazi, visited the sons' families.
