The Montreal "Solomon Schechter Academy" in Canada had a "Freedom Week" activity. During this week, the pupils discussed about the true meaning of Freedom in the aspect of the kidnapped soldiers: who they are, their hobbies, and how they can set free.

In the 5th grade, they  used art to express the term Freedom. The pupils created "a freedom tree" in the green color which symbolizes Life. The 6th grade pupils debated and raised ideas of how to bring the subject of the kidnapped soldiers to the public awareness.

The school will produce special informative papers for distribution and will send special cookies which contain a pray for the soldiers return.  Soon a football match will be held and money will be raised for the special soldiers fond.

The children also sent letters to the government and to other leaders.

On the last day of the activity, the whole school participated in a major event where a pray was read and balloons, with the soldiers' pictures, were sent to the sky.
