Rally in New York – One Year Since the Abduction

To denote the passing of one year since the kidnapping of Udi, Eldad and Gilad, a rally was organized in New York City by Jewish and Zionist organizations.  At this solidarity rally a call went out to release the men and to raise public awareness to their plight.  More than 1000 people participated, Jews and non-Jews alike.

The rally took place on July 16 in front of the UN buildings, where a month after the Second Lebanese War, Decision 1701 was signed.  Decision 1701 calls for the immediate release of the kidnapped soldiers Udi Goldwasser and Eldad Regev. 

Participating in the demonstration were Miki and Karnit Goldwasser.
